Imagining Raindrops by Suki Chan

In 2007 Hyndburn Leisure Trust secured funds from Arts Council England for a programme of commissions for two major new health centre buildings.  They contracted MPA to manage the commissions, which we organised through open competition.

Five works were commissioned from five different artists, and final designs were worked up through sessions with community groups and schools.

The major work, Imagining Raindrops, by Suki Chan, was installed in the three-storey atrium at the Pals Centre.  It is a stunning work which is well worth a visit.

Four supporting works were commissioned by James Sutton, Stella Corrall, John Merrill and David Burns.  Installations were completed during January, prior to gala openings in spring 2008.  We are delighted with the outcomes of a project delivered to extremely tight deadlines.
